Mr. G.B. age 30, from St. Marys Ontario, Canada has been seen and assessed by a BSM-de Jong therapist. Mr. B had severe problems with mathematics. At assessment time he was at a grade 3 level. He was only able to add and subtract from 0 up to 10.
The therapist designed an exercise program, which Mr. B. has performed for 2 years. The results are remarkable. He has reached grade 7 level and sees the therapist whenever he is in Holland.
I am very impressed by the BSM-de Jong Method, which has better results than other program I witnessed. I have witnessed several cases in which the BSM-de Jong method had results with people with dyslexia, both children and adults.

Our son was diagnosed with Gerstmann Syndrome. Generally, children with Gerstmann syndrome exhibit poor handwriting and spelling skills, and difficulty with math functions, including adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing. An inability to differentiate right from left and to discriminate among individual fingers may also be apparent. In addition to the four primary symptoms, many children also suffer from constructional apraxia, an inability to copy simple drawings. Frequently, there is also impairment in reading.
We were advised to send our son to special education, where math would be minimal.
We then consulted a BSM-de Jong therapist. After an extensive assessment she composed a program. The program consisted mainly on physical exercises and few mathematical exercises. The therapist also prescribed zinc tablets.
Tristan performed the program for a year and had fantastic results. Upon completion of the program mathematics continued to improve and upon leaving elementary school Tristan scored 80 - 90% in math.

BSM-de Jong has achieved the task to keep our then seven-year-old son in the elementary school he attended at the time.
We have experienced the BSM-de Jong method as an unconventional but effective way to get on the right track with a boy who showed signs of autism and dyslexia in learning and behavior where conventional treatments had no effect.
Now at the age of 13 our son attends High School with very good results.
We are convinced that without the help of BSM-de Jong the future of our son would have been a disaster.
